1100 MW Nuclear Power Plant K-3 Connected To National Grid

The New nuclear power plant in Karachi K-3 has been connected to the national grid.

Spokesman of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Shahid Riaz said that nuclear power plant K-3 will supply 1100 MW of electricity to the national grid.

Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission has congratulated the team and the nation for connecting the power plant to the national grid.

Karachi Nuclear Power Plant Unit-3 is connected to the national grid on a trial basis and its power generating capacity would be enhanced gradually.

The plant had achieved criticality on February 21 and was undergoing certain safety tests and procedures before it could finally be connected to the grid.
