Bilawal Zardari Hints At Reversing PTI’s Electronic Voting Machine Initiative

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari criticized the government, saying that the PTI had tried to make the Foreign Ministry and the National Security Committee controversial.

In an interview to media in the Parliament House, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that democracy was damaged during the PTI rule, the decision of the judiciary is the beginning of making the institutions uncontroversial.

He said that now electronic voting machine would prove to an RTS Plus, while Overseas Pakistanis right to vote would be protected in the proposed legislation.

It should be noted that PTI had introduced EVM machines which they believed could make elections more transparent as there was no human manipulation and machine could keep electronic record and prevent fake votes.

Talking about the relations with PML-N, the PPP chairman said that there are political and ideological differences with PML-N and will continue to be there in future as well.

Talking about the alleged letter, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Memo Gate Commission was also a conspiracy against democracy.

The PPP chairman said that the government had tried to make the Foreign Ministry and the National Security Committee controversial on the issue of the letter. When the decision was taken to remove Yousuf Raza Gilani, we too could have waved the diplomatic cable.
