Mandsaur’s BJP MP Sudhir Gupta said in an analysis of Bollywood actor Amir Khan on Monday that people like him are responsible for India’s “population imbalance”.
Mandsaur, BJP MP Sudhir Gupta expressed concern about the country’s growing population, blaming the “population imbalance” in India on Bollywood actors “people like Amir Khan”.
“The Indian point of view is Amir Khan. His first wife, Rina, took two children, and his second wife, Kiran Rao, took her son. He left him to wander around and began to look for his third wife”
Gupta said that people like Amir Khan can play a role in the country’s population imbalance. Gupta’s comments were made in the context of the discussion of India’s population on World Population Day.
It happened when Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the new national population policy for 2021-2030, Uttar Pradesh’s population.
The policy set for itself is to reduce the fertility rate to 2.1 per 1,000 people by 2026 and to 1.9 by 2030. For fertility rate corresponds to the average number of births.
Gupta said that India’s territory has not expanded in the past seven years, but its population has doubled, which is not good for the country.
“Obviously, we have to think about it someday. I see that India’s territory has not expanded, but its population has reached 1.4 billion.”
Gupta said this is not something to celebrate or congratulate. If we look back, During the partition of India, Pakistan gained a larger share of the land but a smaller population.
Sudhir Gupta called for a gradual approach and strict population control measures.
