Decision to set up a ‘radio school’ for the education of children at home

The federal government has decided to set up radio schools for the education of children at home. A memorandum of understanding has also been signed.

In a message on social networking site Twitter, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood said that the Ministry of Education and Radio Pakistan have signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation under which a radio school will be started where 4 Educational materials will be broadcast for hours, which will be another platform for home-based education with the tele-school project launched in March this year.

Addressing a function, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said that his ministry would soon launch an e-education portal, where tele-school and radio school programs could be viewed with just one click through e-education.

The experiment of tele-school education was successful during the year, as the importance of online education system has increased in the Corona Challenge.

Corona launched a tele-school project in just 15 days which includes the support of Pakistan Television. 8 million children are benefiting daily but children who do not have access to TV will now benefit from RadioSchool, as well as soon to launch an e-learning portal where e-learning will provide tele and radio. School programs can be viewed with just one click.
