Another Indian Spy with fake CNIC arrested by FIA from Gujranwala

An Indian citizen, Pancham Tiwari, with fake Pakistani identity was arrested in Gujranwala during an operation led by the FIA.

The Assistant Director of FIA, along with other officials, raided a house in Gujranwala and arrested the man.

The Deputy Director of FIA, Amir Nawaz said that the Indian citizen hails from Banaras and is a businessman in India.

Sources told that PanchamTiwari had been living in Pakistan for the past decade. He has three children and is married to a Pakistani woman

When FIA found fake identity cards among Tiwari’s belongings, he claimed that he had embraced Islam and had no intention of returning back to India.

He defended himself and told FIA that he conducted business in 2009 with a Pakistani citizen named Kamran. He said that he was influenced by Kamran and then he embraced Islam.

Tiwari further said that Kamran offered him a place to stay and his sister’s hand in marriage because he could not return to India as a Muslim.

It was also told that Tiwarimade his way to Karachi via the sea route of human smuggling. After reaching Karachi, he met Kamran’s uncle who renamed him Bilal and made a fake identity card under his new name.“Being a Muslim, I want to live in Pakistan,” he said.

FIA Launched an Investigation:

The Federal Investigation Agency has launched an investigation against PanchamTiwari and six people, including Kamran and his family, have been named in assisting the accused.

Deputy Director FIA said that PanjamTiwari would be presented before the court after his remand expires.
