HBO asks Donald Trump to stop tweeting ‘Game of Thrones’ memes

In reaction to the release of a redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Muellers report on the Russia investigation, US President posted another ‘Game of Thrones’ tweet. For this, Television network HBO told Trump to stop making such memes, an HBO spokesperson said:
“We can understand the enthusiasm for ‘Game of Thrones’ but we still prefer our intellectual property not be used for political purposes.”
A meme using the show’s signature font has been tweeted by Trump:
It was tweeted with a tagline “No collusion. No obstruction.For the haters and the radical left Democrats – Game Over.”

HBO had opposed Trump’s decision to play on a ‘Game of Thrones’ tag using the same serif typeface.
In a statement, HBO said:
“We were not aware of this messaging. We would prefer our trademark not be stolen for political purposes.”
