Huawei Nova 3 – Complete specifications, price and review
Huawei Nova 3 – Superstar with Four Eyes!
Huawei Proudly Presents the new Nova 3, a fresh representative of a remarkable line of devices.
Nova 3 with top-notch hardware and impressive features announced in second half of December 2017. The smartphone has everything, including a cost-effective tag.
The HUAWEI nova 3 comes with a glass back surrounded by a thin metal frame. This gives the phone a modern look with a large screen in a smaller chassis. There is a notch at the top of the screen.
The Huawei Nova 3 mobile features a 6.3″ (16 cm) display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
Sensors on the phone include Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.
The smartphone sensors measure physical quantities and transmit them to the application processor. The phone’s accelerometer is a built-in electronic component that measures tilt and motion.
A fingerprint sensor is one of the easiest and most secure ways to protect your smartphone. The proximity sensor detects when a user is holding the phone near their face during a call and turns off the display to prevent keypad presses and battery consumption from the display.
One of the highlights of the Huawei Nova 3 is the pair of cameras present on the front. The camera on the front is a 24MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture.
It is partnered with a 2MP broad-spectrum color sensor that captures depth-of-field information for authentic bokeh effects.
These cameras are powered by AI that, according to Huawei, intelligently recognize the surroundings to instantly create the most amazing AI selfie.
On the back, there is an additional pair of cameras in a 24MP + 16MP configuration. Again, using AI, the back cameras are capable of recognizing over 200 different scenarios across eight unique categories that include
- Blue skies
- Stage performances
The Huawei Nova 3 is powered by a 3750mAh non-removable battery.
Hi-silicon Kirin 970 (10 nm)
The Huawei Nova 3 is the first phone we have received that comes with the latest version of Huawei’s custom skin EMUI.
Octa-core (4×2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53)
Built-in storage is at 128 GB with the option to expand the memory up to 256 GB.
In terms of performance, the Nova 3 is a good choice because it has the Hi-Silicon Kirin 970 chipset.
Android 8.1 (Oreo)
- Iris Purple
- Airy blue
- Primrose Gold
Huawei Nova 3 – Review
A rarely-seen (as of this specs-based review) quad-camera smartphone, the Huawei nova 3 looks to steal the spotlight from some of the best photography-first smartphones.
For one, the Nova 3’s 3750mAh raw battery power, although tolerable, sounds like a slight letdown compared to the 4000-4500mAh batteries boasted by some of its high-caliber rivals.
Working from behind the scenes are the Nova 3’s hefty 4GB maximum RAM capacity and AI-aided Kirin 970 dual-cluster eight-core processor running at 2.36GHz + 1.8GHz. These hardware components are accompanied by an i7 microprocessor and a high-end Mali-G72 MP12 graphics engine
Rocking a 3D hyperboloid glass backing and coming in colors like Primrose and Purple, this third installment to Huawei’s nova lineup calls out to flagship smartphone buyers looking for a phone that puts imaging and multitasking above everything else.
