The federal authorities have appointed bureaucrat Dr. Farooq Jamil to serve as the secretary of health in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Via Trends Pak KPK Health Updates

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan permitted the appointment of Dr. Farooq Jamil as secretary health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Dr. Farooq’s experience:
Dr. Farooq previously served the KP health department for five years. He is presently posted as Additional Commissioner Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The decision was made during the premier’s visit to Peshawar last week. Sources added Jamil name was suggested by KP cabinet members.
Dr. Farooq has been instructed to enhance the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institutions Reforms (Amendment) Act, 2015.

In his first visit to Peshawar, after assuming office, PM Imran Khan stressed on setting up of hospital boards and bringing administrative reforms in the health sector.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also directed the authorities to complete the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit project and the Swat Motorway.
PM Imran urged for actions to promote tourism in the province and told the provincial government to launch an anti-encroachment drive very similar to the one being led by the federal government in Islamabad.
