The 45-day journey will take just 13 days

A 45-day journey will be completed in just 13 days, a major step forward in the plan to connect four countries, including Pakistan, by rail. According to the details, there are reports of major progress in the project of connecting Pakistan with the railway line through the countries of the region and increasing trade activities.

It has been reported that initially China has been included in the plan to start the movement of cargo trains through the railway track between Pakistan, Iran and Turkey.

According to sources, the plan to take the cargo train from Turkey to Pakistan via Iran to China is being seriously considered. To make this project operational requires huge investment which China is ready to provide.

The Pakistani, Turkish and Iranian governments had a few days ago agreed to restore the frozen rail link project years later. It has been reported that the three countries are making serious efforts to make these rail links operational this time.

All the basic needs for rehabilitation of Islamabad, Tehran and Istanbul railway tracks have been met. Train service on this track will begin this year. Initially, a cargo train service will be launched on the track, named ECO Container Train. The restoration of the rail track between the three countries will boost trade first and then tourism.

Along with the increase in trade, the flow of tourists from the three countries may also exceed expectations. In addition, this transport link will play a key role in improving relations between the three countries. Turkish Transport Minister Adil Kara Ismail Olu has said that Pakistan, Iran and Turkey have agreed to start export cargo train service soon.

The new cargo train service has been named the ECO Container Train. This train service will start this year. The cargo train from Islamabad will cover a distance of 6500 km and reach Istanbul in 13 days. The same distance is covered by sea in 45 days. The cargo train from Islamabad will cover a distance of 1900 km in Pakistan, 2600 km in Iran and 1950 km in Turkey. While this project is being hailed as important for Iran and Turkey, it is also a game changer for Pakistan.
