Govt is afraid of my public gathering – Maryam Nawaz challenges PTI

  • Maryam Nawaz aims to hold a rally at the Quaid-e-Azam Stadium, Mandi Bahauddin.
  • There is a serious conflict as the district administration didn’t grant permission of holding the rally.
  • PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb also comes in saying Imran Khan is afraid of a single rally.

The PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz has announced to hold a rally in Mandi Bahauddin’s Quaid-e-Azam ground under any circumstances.

The district administration locked down the entry gates of the stadium and deployed heavy police. The Police raided the places of local workers of the PML-N and detained dozens of them.

Due to security reasons, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Mandi Bahauddin didn’t grant the permission of holding a rally at the stadium.

The PML-N vice-president took to Twitter and stated:

“Fear always hounds the ruler.”

She also shared screenshots of News Channel regarding the crackdown on the party workers and hinted at the government while commenting on the crackdown.

Offensively, she wrote: “You used to say that I will provide a container to you upon a protest campaign, now what are you afraid of?”

On the other hand, the PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb also took to Twitter stating Maryam Nawaz will hold a rally in MandiBahauddin under any circumstances. She said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is afraid of rallies.

Further, she tweeted:

“The one, who brought the entire country to a standstill for 120 days, is afraid of a single rally.”

The PML-N’s spokesperson stated Maryam Nawaz will depart from JatiUmra at 3 pm.

PML-N leaders have claimed that police are harassing them and raids are being conducted at their houses as well. However, the police have denied these claims. Maryam’s husband Captain (retd) Safdar also visited the area ahead of the rally.

The PML-N leaders said the rally would be held as per the schedule however the city administration has sealed the ground where the rally was supposed to be held and the party is not allowed to set up until it gets permission. Let’s see what will happen!
