Oman and Pakistan to promote the tourism together – Omani Minister
Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrizi, Oman’s Minister for Tourism, has emphasized at the role of private sectors of both Pakistan and Oman in tapping the economic potential.

In various sectors of both countries, Oman and Pakistan could play a vital role in tapping the huge economic potential, he said.
Speaking at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry:
While speaking to the business community at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the Omani minister stressed the need for chambers of commerce of both sides.
He stressed to establish robust contacts and ensure timely dissemination of trade-related information.
Omani tourism industry:
The Omani Minister suggested that Oman and Pakistan are able to work together in the field of tourism.
He also invited a delegation from LCCI to Oman for discovering trade and investment avenues.
He said: “Oman is one of the few countries which signed a free trade agreement with the United States.”
adding that it can be beneficial for the business community of Pakistan as well.
He further pointed out that Oman has road links with Africa, Yemen, and Arab countries. Hence, Oman is a hub of economic activities.
Speaking at the LCCI, Senior Vice President LCCI Khawaja Shahzad Nasir and Vice President Faheemur Rehman Saigal, stressed at the tourism industry of Pakistan.
They said that the tourism industry of Pakistan is growing because of the peaceful environment across the country.
“Foreign tourists feel safe while traveling Pakistan,” they said.
Investment from Omani counterparts:
The LCCI officials invited investment from Omani counterparts in the tourism industry of Pakistan.
They said that Oman has a rich experience in oil exploration. Therefore, Omani companies could establish joint ventures in oil exploration in Pakistan.
Moreover, Pakistan is capable of providing manpower in different sectors including education, health, engineering, construction, and telecommunications.

Abdullah bin Zaher bin Saif Al Hussaini, the former Omani ambassador said that the people of Oman respect their Pakistani brothers a lot. He said that he wanted to see more Pakistani businessmen in Oman.
