PCB Made A Profit Of Around Rs. 2 Billion From Australia Tour, Ramiz Raja
After 24 years, on a historic tour of Pakistan, the Australian team drew the attention of Pakistani fans. Not only cricket fans but people all over the world were looking forward to reviving cricket in Pakistan.
The series proved to be lucrative for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). PCB chairman Rameez Raja said that the Pakistan-Australia series has brought a lot of benefits to the cricket board on the commercial side.
In an interview released by the PCB, Rameez Raja said that Pakistan’s historic victory over India in the T20 World Cup in October has benefited our cricket in terms of trade.
According to Rameez Raja, PCB made about Rs. 2 billion from home tours in Australia alone.
“This is a welcome development for us and a positive sign for our cricket to move forward,” the PCB chairman said.
“With good performance in the recent past, our cricket team has instilled confidence in the people which has taken us to new heights on a commercial basis,” he said.
