Pakistan cannot forget Saudi Arabia’s support in difficult times – PM Khan
- The Saudi Crown Prince has received a telephone call from Prime Minister Imran Khan.
- During the call, PM Imran Khan labeled Saudi Arabia as a friend who continues to stand by Pakistan at every cost.
- The Saudi Prince praised the distinguished relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and invited PM Imran Khan to visit the kingdom.
During a telephonic conversation with Saudi Crown Prince, PM Imran Khan stressed that developing relations with Saudi Arabia is a top priority for Pakistan.
Prime Minister Imran telephoned the Saudi crown prince and offered his condolences on the demise of King Salman’s elder brother, Prince Bandar bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
Both leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and also a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Prime Minister labeled Saudi Arabia as a trustworthy friend of Pakistan and thanked the crown prince for his support to Pakistan and its interests.
“Pakistan cannot forget Saudi Arabia’s support in all adversities and difficult times,” PM said.
The Saudi Crown Prince praised the distinguished relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He lauded the efforts of both countries in strengthening and developing these relations in diverse fields.
Further, the Saudi Crown Prince has also invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit the kingdom. He said that Saudi Arabia is keen to support Pakistan in all fields.
Since coming into power, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has been trying to establish strong ties with Arab countries; Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
In February this year, the Saudi Crown Prince visited Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister and was given a red-carpet welcome upon arrival.
During the visit, the Saudi leader expressed optimism about the economic future of Pakistan and said that Saudi Arabia had been waiting for leadership like Prime Minister Imran Khan to partner within various areas.
