PSL To Have Bidding System Instead Of Draft, Ramiz Raja

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Rameez Raja said that we will definitely take Pakistan Super League (PSL) towards auction.

In an interview to foreign media, Rameez Raja, while reacting to the Pak-India cricket series, said that cricket cannot be viewed with political lens. Till when will we continue to look at cricket as politics?

He said that the international broadcaster said that the Pak-India T20 World Cup match had broken all the records of viewership. Like the Pak-India matches, the viewership of Ashes is also very high.

Rameez Raja said that Cricket Australia has welcomed the four-nation tournament but India and England have not yet made a statement about the four-nation tournament.

Responding to a question, the PCB chairman said that Pakistan has proved its fool proof security and good cricket hosting.

Rameez Raja said, “I know the economy of India and Pakistan very well. Our plans are to make Pakistan Super League better but franchise cricket cannot be a substitute for international competitions.”

Asked about the auction of players in PSL, the PCB chairman said that Pakistan Super League would definitely be taken to auction.

It may be recalled that at present the PCB has made different categories for the sale of players in PSL.
