Lahore Police has decided to establish Khidmat Counters at 10 hospitals and rural health centers in the provincial capital.

The counters and centers will facilitate the public so that they can easily obtain Police Medical Docket. The work for the purpose has been initiated.

New sites for the project include:

  • Lahore General Hospital (LGH)
  • Government MianMunshi Hospital
  • Yakki Gate
  • KotKhawajaSaeed Hospital
  • Sir Ganga Ram Hospital
  • Rural Health CentresBarki
  • AwanDhallayWala
  • Mangamandi
  • Raiwind
  • RHC Chung

Deputy Inspector General of Police Operations Ashfaq Khan said:

“This step is meant to save lives by facilitating first aid for the people injured during brawls and other related incidents.”

Funds for E-Khidmat Center in Multan:

The Government of Punjab has released funds of Rs16 million for the e-Khidmat center. E-Khidmat is a state of the art facility that would offer 29 different services to the people in Multan.

Recently, commissioner Iftikhar Ali Sahu visited the project site and ordered concerned officials to make the facility operational at all cost by November 2019.

About 70% of civil work has been completed and the installation of machinery is also in progress. The facility would be functional within the next three months.

The Commissioner said that Chief Minister UsmanBuzdar was taking a special interest in the development of this area and stressed on earliest possible completion of the facility.

It has been also noted that 2.2 million people were availing services at e-Khidmat Centers operational at divisional level in Punjab and the addition of the Multan center would raise the number of beneficiaries.

The Deputy Inspector General said that citizens are already receiving dockets from Khidmat Centers established at Mayo Hospital, Services Hospital, and Jinnah Hospital, the docket is being issued in 15 minutes. Earlier, it was issued from the police stations concerned.
