ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is just a few months away as it will start on 30th May 2019 and will be played in England & Wales.
ICC has announced the prize money which got another 40% hike compared to the world cup 2015 and huge 60% compared to world cup 2011.
A total of US$14 million will be awarded to 10 participating teams with the winner pocketing guaranteed of $5 million (USD) plus $50,000 for every win in the round robin stage.

With every passing world cup, ICC has been increasing the prize money. In 2003 world cup, the total prize money pool was around $4.5 million
The prize money for the 2007 world cup was less than 2003. But in world cup 2011, ICC doubled the total prize money pool.
In 2015 world cup, there was an increase of 20% in the total pool to $10 million. Now, ICC announced another 40% increase for World Cup 2019 taking total prize money pool to massive $14 million.
