A good news for people who can’t get enough storage for their PCs or Laptops. Nimbus Data is introducing an SSD. The company is out with the world’s largest SSD in terms of storage space. The ExaDrive DC100 which comes with 100 TB of storage.
Previously, the world’s largest SSD was held by Seagate’s 60 TB SSD, but it was not a commercial product like the ExaDrive is.
ExaDrive is coming with huge specialities. First of all, large enterprises is the main objective of this SSD. It is long lasting, with an expected time of 2.5 million hours between failures. It has power loss protection. It’s based on 3D NAND flash storage and uses a SATA 3.0 6Gb s interface.
The ExaDrive will give you 100TB of storage and it will manage a read and write speed of 500 MB/s. As compared to previous SSD, the DC100 is said to be 85% more efficient per terabyte.
The announcement of the SSD is breaking records of Samsung. Because previously, Samsung has launched its highest capacity SSD, which had a worthless capacity of 30 TB. Now, this a huge gust for Samsung!
Later this year, Nimbus Data will also release 10 TB and 50 TB versions. Pricing details are not confirmed yet, but the guarantees of up to five years will be given, for sure!
