Younis Khan Appointed Batting Coach For The For Afghan Cricket Team

Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan’s long-cherished dream of coaching the Afghanistan cricket team has come true.

The Afghan Cricket Board confirmed the inclusion of Younis Khan and former fast bowler Umar Gul as coaching consultants for the UAE tour.

The Afghan Cricket Board has said that Younis Khan has been included as a batting and Umar Gul as a bowling consultant for the Afghanistan team’s tour of UAE.

Younis Khan expressed happiness at being part of the Afghan team, calling it his long-cherished wish.

It has been my utmost desire to work with @ACBofficials as a coach & the discussions have been going on since 2011 during my playing days. Younis Khan said that talks with the Afghanistan Board for coaching have been going on since 2011. I think now the UAE Camp is the best time to work with the Afghanistan Cricket Board to get to know the incoming talent more closely.

On the other hand, national and Afghan players are congratulating Younis Khan on getting a new post.
